Chicago-raised, LA based singer/songwriter Bryce Waitkus is no stranger to writing from the heart. Having majored in psychology while attending Cal Poly, Waitkus emphasizes the human condition through his lyrical writing. Releasing music under the folk duo War Is Over, as well as his “bedroom emo folk” solo project Okay Alright, he is now turning a new page in his musical career as healer. Whereas other projects focused on identifying and accepting struggle, healer aims at finding resolution and guiding others toward it. Waitkus’ lyricism maintains its refreshing honesty as he explores new musical sounds. In anticipation of his debut EP, healer is releasing a series of singles that will introduce audiences to a more uplifting and cautiously-optimistic perspective.
